Associação Interfronteiriça de Rugby do Guadiana/Asociación Interfronteiriza Rugby Guadiana (Portugal/Spain)

A.I.R.Guadiana is an association between Club de Rugby Universitario de Badajoz , from Extremadura, Spain , founded in 1982, and Clube de Rugby de Juromenha, from Alentejo , Portugal , founded in 1997.

Both clubs have a great relationship history and decide, last year, to create this Association, with the purpose to compete in Portugal second league.

Clube de Rugby de Juromenha played is 1st Veterans Tournament in Loulé, Algarve, in February 2001, playing with R.C.Loulé an Rugby Roma. After that participate in several tournamentis in Portugal, Spain and Brasil, country who had visit for two times, the last one in late November.

C.R.U.Badajoz beginned is veterans adventure in Évora, Portugal, in June 2002, and have also a great participation in tournaments all over Portugal an Spain.

The symbol of this Association representes the two symbols of C.R.U.Badajoz and C.R.Juromenha, reunited by Guadiana River, the great regional reference who links both parts of spanish and portuguese border.
