Farnham Vets (England)

2008 is the 21st year of Vets touring at Farnham RUFC In 1987 the "Escargots" hit the touring trail to Sheffield with a side based around the Farnham 1st XV of the early 1980's.

Many of the early original motley crew still tour strongly (several now wearing the venerable golden shorts) After 8 years of extensive UK and Irish tours the Escargots grabbed their passports in 1995 and have toured every year since around the globe Having made several incursions into Eastern Europe including Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Latvia (those well known hot beds of rugby and cheap beer) since 1999 the boys have craved the sun on their backs.

Israel (where the Escargots played the National team!!)South Africa (the boys traveled 4000 miles for a game of unopposed scrums!) and Boston USA (where our game was played at a Marist tea total college) have been memorable excursions.
